On May 28, 2021, President Joe Biden signed Executive Order 14031 to establish both the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) and the Presidents Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
