WIC Women in ICT

Women in Information and Communication (WIC) was established on 17 May 2000 and was launched by the then Chief Minister of the ACT, Kate Carnell, on 17 May 2000. The aims of the association are: To provide a forum where women in the technology and communications industry can network for mutual benefit; The Association aims over the course of each year to hold a number of events of both relevance and interest to enable quality and valuable networking. *To provide a range of activities to increase the participation of women in the technology and communication industries; In addition to providing a networking opportunity, WIC events are designed to inspire women to progress in the technology and communication industries. *To Provide a forum to develop role models of success to participate in community and school based activities to change the image of the technology and communications industry to one which is attractive to women; This is an ongoing project which will be supported by WI...
