In 1927, Wilde Tool was purchased by Paul & Otto Froeschl. In 1955 the operations moved from Kansas City, MO to Hiawatha, KS. Today, Wilde Tool Co., Inc. is a privately held corporation presently managed by the 3rd & 4th generations of the founders. Wilde Tool is the MANUFACTURER OF THE ORIGINAL ANGLE NOSE PLIER introduced over 75 years ago. WILDEs 6N and 8N were the original angle nose pliers. They were designed with a 32 angle that created greater leverage. The original Wilde Wrench was granted U.S. Patent No. 1,800,447. Our original trademark was THE PLIERSMITHSTM. Our current registered trademarks are WILDE, WITCO, and our exclusively manufactured PIPE WRENCH PLIER. Wildes primary business is private labeling for several national and international tool companies, mass merchandisers, and OEMs. WILDE brand is full polished with red grips.
