Our two founders personal story is ingrained in our hostel chains DNA. Marcus and Sascha founded our company in the year 1999. Both passionate backpackers in the 80s, they know better than anyone what travelers are longing for, what ensures magical moments far away from home and how to create spaces for encounters that shape you for a lifetime. Currently, we operate five houses: Vienna, Munich (x2), London and Budapest and are about to grow! All our hostels come equipped with the Wombats Basics our customers have come to love: Ensuite bathrooms, our legendary womBARs, freely accessible guest kitchens, 24/7 reception, safe luggage storage, laundry rooms as well as tons of rentables and anything else an avid traveller could possibly need.
