About Us The Department of Women and Child Development provides service to the Women and Children. The Department provides Ladli Scheme for Girl Child, Child Protection, Orphan Girls & Poor Windows daughters Marriage, Widows Pension and education for children preschool, high School and Senior Secondary aided School in various states across India in Bal/Balika Bawans and Higher Education School\Institutions\College across India. Education provides under the act SSA and BATI PADAO BATI BACHO. Women and Child Development Organsation was created as a separate Departments. Since inception, it has been working for the overall development of children and women through a host of specially designed schemes and programmes. It also deals with schemes for the Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability.
