WomenWeave is a registered Charitable Trust, supporting the role of women in handloom weaving since 2002. WomenWeave works towards making handloom a profitable, fulfilling, sustainable and dignified income-earning activity. The WomenWeave (WW) mission is to work towards overcoming the vulnerability of women who weave on handlooms as a part or full time occupation. The role for WomenWeave is that of a bridge, Providing a link for weavers and connecting them with other weavers and potential customers. By offering training and design assistance, Helping weavers to integrate their own traditional designs with a more contemporary and marketable look. WomenWeave also helps create markets for the products, thus providing selling opportunities in India and abroad that might not otherwise be accessible to weavers.
