Word of Hope Ministries, Inc. (WOHM) is a faith based community ministry founded by Dr. C.H. McClelland. WOHM was established at its current location, 2677 N. 40th Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in May 1996.Though the main purpose is to provide spiritual empowerment, WOHM realizes that its message is more readily accepted when it takes an active role in bringing social and economic change to the residents of Sherman Park, and its surrounding communities. The populations that are targeted to receive these programs are often disenfranchised community members who lack adequate job, educational skills to improve the quality of life for themselves and/or their families. In an effort to enhance their lives, The Word of Hope has developed 7 areas of programming which are: (1) Employment (2) ATODA (3) Health Care (4) Mentoring (5) Social Services (6) GED preparation (7) Computer Training.
