In 2003, WRAP Distribution was founded to stop unwanted books being dumped into landfill. Our partners such as charity shops, bookshops, libraries etc had no outlets for their unsold/unwanted books outside of their physical stores. So with sustainability at its core, the company created a business model to rescue these books and resell them, thereby finding them a new home. Every book saved was one which did not need to be manufactured from scratch. From a few hundred books in a basement, we now stock 2.5m+ books, shipping daily to tens of thousands of customers across globe via our brand, AwesomeBooks.com. The result? Were a crucial revenue stream from charity partners we purchase from allowing them to continue spending on the good causes they support. Were a crucial partner to those literacy partners we work with who rely on us for books donations, weve donated over 100,000 books to school libraries alone.
