WUCF

WUCF is Central Floridas public media organization, a university joint licensee of the University of Central Florida. Beginning as WFTU FM in 1978 and rebranding alongside the university to WUCF FM in 1980, WUCF has been a trusted media outlet in the local community for generations. UCF acquired WUCF TV in 2012. WUCF TV is the sole-service Public Broadcasting System (PBS) member station for 4.3 million people across nine counties. Our mission is to be Central Floridas storyteller. We encourage curiosity and learning through compelling content and community engagement. WUCF TV accomplishes this mission by broadcasting national PBS programming, producing local content and connecting to our community through engagement initiatives. Our TV station provides more than 35,000 hours of high-quality programming annually across five channels.
