Yad Ezra VShulamit

Yad Ezra VShulamit is a humanitarian organization that helps fight poverty in Israel. The organization assists those that are in need throughout the country orphans, single parents, poor families, those too sick to work, the elderly (including holocaust survivors) and new immigrants. Our goal is to make sure everyone has food, to ease the suffering of impoverished families, break the cycle of poverty and give children from needy families a chance for a better future. Aryeh Lurie is the man and the mission behind Yad Ezra VShulamit Despite his own familys poverty, Lurie saw his mother cooking hot soup for Shabbat every week and giving the first portion to a family in need. He felt compelled to name the organization in honor of his parents Ezra and Shulamit. They taught him the values of charity and kindness that form the basis of the organization, focused on helping individuals overcome the challenges of poverty and achieve financial stability.
