The Estate is located in the West Berkshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and comprises approximately 9,000 acres. Farming has been at the heart of the Estate since it was purchased in 1925 and 5,000 acres are farmed in hand, with the majority down to arable production. There are a further 2,500 acres of commercial forestry and over 300 acres of Christmas tree plantation producing over 80,000 Christmas trees into the wholesale market and supplying the Estates own retail offering.
