Yellow Cab Co. of Sacramento is the oldest and largest cab company in the Sacramento area. The locally owned company opened for business in 1917. It has operated under present management since 1951. LEADING INNOVATION Yellow Cab was the first cab company in Sacramento to be radio dispatched in 1946. It was also the first cab company in Sacramento to utilize computer dispatching beginning in 1991, and the first to utilize GPS (Global Positioning System) dispatching in 2004. Union Taxi, Oak Park Taxi, Skyline Taxi, and Skyline Airporter are just a few of the fleets which have operated under Yellow Cab management since 1946. Yellow Cabs long history of service in the Greater Sacramento area covers all of Sacramento County including Elk Grove, as well as West Sacramento and Roseville.
