Yellowknife Catholic Schools

Our District Yellowknife Catholic Schools has been providing quality education to northern students for over sixty-five years. We are the only faith-based district in the Northwest Territories. Although we are a Catholic school district, we welcome families of all faiths. Our district has three schools and one technical center with approximately 230 staff members and 1500 students. We offer programming in English and French Immersion from JK - 12, as well as Core Willideh Yati and Core French. We have a strong Indigenous Language and Culture Education program that combines the Dene Kede curriculum and on-the-land experiences with traditional ways of knowing and doing. The Yellowknife Catholic School Board consists of seven trustees. Our trustees are very student-centered and continue to work towards improving our learning organization.
