Dan McGovern spent 19 years as a head basketball coach - 13 years as the head coach of two of the top junior college basketball programs in the country. He produced six NJCAA All Americans, and four of his former players played in the NBA. Over 60 of McGoverns players earned scholarships to such NCAA division one schools as Kansas, Oklahoma, UNLV, and Arkansas. His 1991 squad finished the season with a 33-4 record and placed third at the National Tournament.
