Yes I Can, Inc. (Y.I.C.) is an upcoming trauma informed care 501 (c) (3) non-profit established to provide the first of its kind intensive childhood sexual abuse trauma healing center in NYC and other supportive services to low-income head of household mothers living with HIV. In addition, Y.I.C. will provide Trauma Informed Care Training to human service organizations. Our mission is twofold; To promote healing from the horrific experiences of childhood sexual abuse trauma (CSAT) and empower survivors to come to terms with the aftermath that led to a lifestyle of substance abuse, repeated relapse, domestic violence, mental disturbance, the maltreatment of children, and the spread of HIV virus; and to empower human service providers with the skills needed to develop a trauma informed approach in servicing consumers in need of services.
