Yldz Technical University Korfball

YTU Korfball is a university and club team of Yldz Technical University. In 2009, it was founded as a school team by the Department of Physical Education and Sport in Yldz Technical University and it attended the first Turkish Korfball Championship in 2011 representing Sisli Municipality Sport Club. With the foundation of Yldz Technical University Sport Club, the team started representing it in the national korfball championships and tournaments and went a long way. In 2015, a youth korfball team was formed within Dolunay Sport Club by Gulsum Sonal, the coach of YTU Korfball Team in the aim of introducing korfball to young players and helping them gain experience in national korfball tournaments. In 2019, Yldz Teknik Universiteliler Spor Kulubu (Yldz Technical University Students Sport Club) was founded by Cetin Erdem Sonal, the club chairman, and the team has represented it in the national korfball championships and tournaments since then.
