YWCA of Greater Portland

The YWCA of Greater Portland serves women, children, and families, from all walks of liferegardless of their age, race, or income level. Our programs span three key areas: The YWCAs Domestic Violence Program provides safety, shelter, and crisis intervention to women and children escaping domestic violence. Yolanda House is an emergency shelter that empowers survivors of domestic violence to achieve personal safety, self-sufficiency and a renewed sense of hope. This is facilitated through personalized advocacy, housing referrals, emergency food and clothing, safety planning (including advocacy for court-ordered protection), and transition and life skills support. Access to domestic violence services are also facilitated via The Gateway Center. The YWCAs Senior Services Program offers a wide range of information and support to seniors, empowering them to maintain healthy and independent lives in the safety and comfort of their own homes.
