Zarif Design

Zarif Design was founded in 2005 by Zolaykha Sherzad. It is a woman-owned and operated international social enterprise that sells haute couture fashion items. The mission of the business is to revive the Afghan artistic culture and to provide training and job opportunities for Afghans in the textile and fashion industry. Zarif currently employs 51 people (75% are women) in its two workshops in Kabul, Afghanistan. Women and men are treated as peers at Zarif where a gender neutral working environment is encouraged and appreciated
