As the cultural, educational, and economic metropolis of Switzerland, as a production location and base of numerous producers, distributors, and filmmakers, Zurich is an ideal location for a film festival. For 11 days each year, the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) brings exceptional cinema to Zurich, showcasing around 100 film gems from across the globe. These films are personally presented by their creators and stars, who grace the green carpet at our festival center, turning it into Hollywood on the Limmat. The ZFF has become a fixture in the festival landscape: With over 130,000 cinema-goers each year, ZFF is now the second-largest film festival in German-speaking Europe and was named one of the ten coolest film festivals in Europe by The Guardian.
